Junior Academy & Junior High Performance Academy
Junior Academy
The Junior Academy programme is for County, Regional and National-level juniors (aged 10-16) who are dedicated to improve their tennis. The programme recognises that most players will still require “full-time” formal education, but will nevertheless need an intensive, flexible and personalised tennis and fitness programme. Junior Academy runs 2 evening sessions per day 5 days a week, which run from 4.45 p.m till 8.30 p.m. to allow for educational commitments. Each session is 90 minutes of tennis and 45 minutes of strength and conditioning.
Junior High Performance Academy
Junior High Performance Academy is a highly intensive programme for Regional, National and International juniors (aged 10 – 16). Players are selected from applicants with a high playing level and commitment. The programme will be individualized to each player linked to their educational needs and include group tennis sessions and individual work 6 days per week, alongside personalized strength and conditioning programmes.
Education Options
a) Distance learning (a customized approach)
Sutton Tennis Academy offers a structured distance learning education programme for players who want a more flexible schedule. This programme includes organized study sessions supervised by highly qualified tutors and closely managed by our Education Consultant. All players are offered advice on choosing their subjects and are given regular feedback on their progress, including reports and results.
b) Cheam high school and tennis scholarship program
Established in 1993, the Tennis & Education programme, in partnership with Cheam High School, is the longest-running Tennis & Education programme in the country. The programme allows players access to top-class intensive tennis training, whilst continuing their education. There are a number of open days held through out the year providing you with a tour of the school and a chance to see and experience the scheme.
